Thanks to your donations, we have proudly fulfilled a $100,000 endowment at Cornell University in Dick and Jody's names. Education was very important to Jody and Dick Vilardo and is something The Dick and Jody Vilardo Foundation values very highly. Both Jody and Dick were supporters of University alumni and Jody was a proud member of the prestigious Cornell University Hotel Society. With Dick's ties to the hotel business, our Foundation quickly understood that partnering with Cornell to provide a path for students to receive education in the field of Hotel Management was a perfect fit. 

 

The recipients of the Jody and Dick Vilardo scholarship, fulfill the following requirements: (a) Majoring in Hotel Administration and (b) Participating in the Cornell Traditions Program; a program which requires community service hours of the student either at the University or in the city of Ithaca, NY. This insures our scholars support The Vilardo Foundation's mission of giving back to the community. The scholarship will pay out at least one student per semester, with our first recipient being granted in 2019. This scholarship will live on at Cornell University in perpetuity.
