In the fall of 2015, a group of Jody's close friends formed a community, called The Friends of Jody, "to honor the life of Jody H. Vilardo, to express ongoing love for our friend, and to continue to support charitable work that was near to Jody’s heart.  We hope that by doing so, we--her friends and family--can honor Jody’s legacy and find a measure of comfort."

Each time the group gets together, we work with a local charity to provide donations as well.  In 2015 with everyone's help, we donated many items to The Children's Inn at NIH for both the pediatric patients as well as their caregivers.

The Friends of Jody typically get together twice a year, in the Fall for a luncheon and in May at the Memorial Golf Tournament for "Flowers and Philanthropy" .
