Manna Food Center has been supporting Montgomery County since 1983, "fight(ing) hunger, feed(ing) hope and transition(ing) recipients from a place of scarcity to prosperity". The Dick and Jody Vilardo Foundation began supporting Manna in the fall of 2016 by providing funds to purchase Holiday turkeys. Lindsay Vilardo heard of the need through a local news outlet and quickly sprung into action. The Dick and Jody Vilardo Foundation has continued to support Manna in 2017 by collecting 214 pounds of non-perishable food items at the Memorial Golf Tournament and coordinating volunteer opportunities in June and July.
In the Fall of 2017 and 2018, The Vilardo Foundation has again stepped in to help purchase holiday turkeys by providing $6,000 each year. In 2019, we began to include produce to the holiday giving. We are thrilled to have provided for Manna for the 6th year in a row!
